Beautiful lighting by &Tradition, displayed at ICFF. Sensuous and understated.
A stunning light fixture by Le Klint, the iconic Danish brand. Beautiful proportion and details.
It’s so nice to be able to see beautiful home furnishings up close. I had seen images of this Muuto light fixture but seeing it in person allowed me to fully appreciate its overall quality, interesting materials and its cool factor.
A favorite fixture which is no longer hung in the Royal Copenhagen outdoor cafe area in Copenhagen. I love this lighting fixture and I wonder if it could be a DIY project. It has a feeling of a wreath.
A classic light fixture and a classic installation as well for old buildings, but the look has a modern yet timeless look.
Ibsen’s hotel lobby. Yellow can be a hard color to use in furnishings. Paired with red and black and touches of other colors, it looks perfect in its traditional style yet modern in its color.
Beautiful new finishes on Bestlite lighting fixtures by Gubi. Love the cool and warm tones-very modern in this interpretation.
A busy image, taken at a vintage furniture store in Copenhagen. The different wood finishes and beautiful fabric on the chairs are beautiful. The curved forms ties all pieces together.
Sometimes just the details tell the story. This sofa is from &Tradition. The beautiful wood frame and legs combined with the fabric and cushion detailing shows the quality and design.
Two different size light fixtures from Normann Copenhagen. I love this fixture - it is so simple yet substantial looking. The matte finish is modern.
A simple white kitchen in Invita’s Copenhagen showroom is a timeless modern style. Note the window and its placement nearly flush with the countertop which also features the old window hardware prominently. The white cabinetry, walls and backsplash flow for an expansive look. The two lights add dimension to the space and the blue wall cabinet adds further dimension and color.
This grouping of beautiful Le Klint fixtures is at the Bella Sky hotel, but it’s an interesting idea for a small grouping in the kitchen, adding a feeling of dimension and texture.
Beautiful strong black wall of storage accented by the warmth of colorful books and a useful ladder. The large round stools are sculptural elements combined with the square table in a light wood that also is a contrast and appears to float.
In this small section of this kitchen, which was a small kitchen within the beautiful Dinesen showroom in Copenhagen, there are surprisingly quite a few elements that say “Scandinavian style” so well.
An abundance of rounded shapes and natural materials combined with light that bathes the surface adds warmth amid an elegant simplicity.
