Some interesting finds at Code11, the Danish design exhibition that I attended in early September.
Classic Hans Wegner amid organized chaos? I love this look…it has spirit. The space should be free of clutter - the mural itself is the emotion.
I would like to walk through this shop, Fil de Fer, in Copenhagen, again. Antique furniture in a modern home? Of course. Much of the shop is French antiques, but there are Scandinavian pieces as well. One can spend half a day, maybe a full day, in this shop. Image by Susan
Swedish gateleg table seen in Atelier September in Copenhagen. Definitely fitting for a modern home with its clean lines and traditional, yet light/modern finish.
Swoon-worthy dining. Brilliant and stunning to throw those white pieces of furry material on these very sexy Hans Wegner Wishbone chairs. From Emmas Designblogg.
A lovely vignette of Scandinavian grays and the contrast of rich wood. It doesn’t take much to make a stunning statement…shot by susan in Copenhagen
I think this is one of the most beautiful chairs I’ve ever laid eyes on…just sayin’. Image by Susan, shot in Copenhagen.
And, more kitchen color inspiration…soft blue/gray kitchen cabinetry with wood countertops as viewed via the very worn areas in the dresser. Light/soft gray walls. Image by Susan

Hans Wegner’s very sexy teak table and legs and Arne Jacobsen’s Grand Prix dining chair. Classics. Image by Susan
Tablo tray table by Swedish Magnus Löfgren.
Beautiful, rich, wood tones and textures are a mainstay of Scandinavian design, vintage and new. Pottery, in rustic, modern, and freeform patterns are natural companions (Image by Susan)
